Two quick question in regards to signing an ineligibles.

First, just received the email saying that we have signed our guy and saying he would not be able to play, as expected. At the end of the email, it said " I'd be surprised if he doesn't play JUCO ball next season.". I mean, I'm going to find out in a few days the decision the player makes, but is that quote have any direct meaning? Or is it just what the email typically says.

Second, I can't remember, but if he does go JuCo, how much of my recruiting carries over to next season's recruiting?

That sentence in the email is misleading and doesn't mean anything.  Don't read anything into it.


Nobody knows exactly what the percentage carryover is, but I think its generally accepted to be between 25-50%.  Which may sound pretty good, until the player goes JUCO at a school on the other side of the country.

Excellent.

And yeah, it's disappointing when they go JuCo across the nation. Essentially throwing money at nothing, but I guess that's the risk.
