Def rating and IQ Topic

I know we had this discussion before, but in a hurry at work. http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/GameResults/BoxScore.aspx?gid=10592534.

My SG has 85 Ath, 99 def and a AIQ but still gave up 21 points and 40% 3pt shooting.  Just deosn't seem like this works.

It looks bad in the summary section, but look at the play-by-play. Seven of those points come when your 99 defender isn't on the floor. Another five come at the foul line as the result of fouls whistled against other people on your team, leaving just nine scored against your star defender.

that 9 points came on 3-9 shooting, 3-8 from 3 pt line by an A iq Sr with 65 ath, 73 spd and 93 per who averages 17.2 ppg and over 46% from 3... I think your guy did just fine.

Thanks guys, didn't look in to it hard enough. Should I play him getting tired?

with a better backup I'd generally say no, but in your case I'll go to maybe... Jacobs is a much worse defender than O'Brien, but O'Brien's stamina is pretty bad, and pushing him to GT means he'll take longer to recover between stints I think (though I could be wrong on that - I don't know how un-tired they have to fill to before re-entry).

If you really need to stop the other guy's SG maybe go that route - also, if the other SG is that tough maybe double-team him always. then when Jacobs is on the court at least the PG or SF can help out...
