Blue Skill Rating Topic

Was wondering what you guys thought the odds would be.

If player's attribute is blue.  What are the odds the attribute is high / high vs high / low?  50/50? 30/70?

Does this % change based upon position and skill (e.g. C and Pg both have a blue PE skill)  would the the pg have a higher percentage chance of getting high / high compared to the C?

Thanks!

It varies based on skill, IMO. For whatever reason, some skills are more commonly programmed with significant room for improvement than others. In my (subjective) experience, LP, PER, and STA are most likely to be high-high. ATH is most likely to be low-high. The others are somewhere in the middle. And it does vary somewhat by position (for instance, I see more PF and C with high-high REB than SF's with high-high REB), but probably no more than the distribution of high vs avg or low potential. It also varies by how high they already are. Obviously, nobody over 73 is going to be high-high.

There are no real rules about what kinds of players are high-high in which categories.  But based on experience and feel I would make 2 observations that are not clear rules and I don't want to be blamed when they are wrong.
1st, guards for per and forwards and centers for lp, if they start im the 20's or 30's blue, i'd say they are high-high well over 50% of the time.  But that doesnt really help you because even if they grow 30 points that doesnt make them that great at those skills.
2nd is that I've noticed that most players have ath/def within 15 points of each other.  It's rare to find players with great ath and bad def or the other way.  So if you see a players who is blue ath and black def and the are starting around the same, i'd assume the ath is low-high.
Again, these are not rules, or based on data I compiled, just a feel based on what Ive seen.
