agreed. its really a shame girt has left the game, even though his title count wasn't as high, and he doesn't have one of the "great runs" in the string of titles sense, hes one of only a few coaches i consider strongly in the running for the best coach ever. more importantly, he used his powers for good so to speak, it seemed he was always having something going on, some conference experiment or something, and those things IMO are very, very good for the game. racking up titles wasn't his primary goal, but if it was, im pretty confident he would have had a good deal more of them (which is saying something, as he has like 15 as is, or something like that). its a shame seble didn't seem to put a tremendous amount of stock in girt's view on the game, and its limitations, as i think girt really understood how changes to the game could impact game play and the enjoyment of the community, like roughly no other coach could. in retrospect i would feel his concerns were even more on point than my own, he definitely "had the pulse of the community", as he liked to say.
