I'm new to this so I was hoping someone could explain to me how this works. I made a trade with a guy earlier today that led to his taking on $10 million in salary....his budget is $86 million and after my trade (still pending), he was at $82.7 million ("old payroll" $72.7 million, new $82.7 million). Three hours later he made another trade that involved him taking on $8 million and on the trade screen is again shows "old payroll" $72.7 million and shows new payroll $80.7 million. No cash involved. If these both go through he'd be at $90.7 million and would be over budget.. How is that possible and if so what happens? Can my trade get nullified somehow even though it was accepted before the other one?

If your trade posts first then it'll be fine and the second trade will be nullified. The owner in question might have money from other areas to transfer and raise his payroll cap to the required amount.

I'd appreciate an update when the results are known.

Mine went through and the second was nullified. They weren't in the same cycle though---mine went through in PM2 cycle part 1 and the other was in PM2 cycle part 2. Still curious what would have happened if they were in the same cycle but it worked out fine for me so no gripes here.
