I have two curious questions.
1. Why can't we actually participate in the draft ourselves? Like actually pick our players. I feel like that'd be a cool addition.
2. Also, I was wondering the same thing for regular season games. Wouldn't it be cool to actually control pitching changes, steals, etc.

Just Thinking out loud really.

1.  There's no way to do a draft real-time with 32 owners spread across the continent or, possibly, the world. 
2.  I won't address this one because the proponents of "live play" will hunt me down and hang me in the streets.   But it's probably a bad idea due to competitve advantage.

Quite some time ago, I proposed that the draft take course over three days.  Not "live" but as it is now with a slight modification.

Rd 1 and supplemental
Rd 2-5
Rd 6-25

That would allow owners to adjust as it progresses.

I actually really like that idea. It allows people who are interested in drafting prospects who will make it to the majors possibly in a short window while allowing them to set settings for the remaining rounds.

Too bad that the folks that run HBD are only interested in your 25 bucks, and how to get it without spending anything improving their product.
