After 37 seasons, you would think I understood the carryover rules.  Instead, I decided to have 5 scholarship freshmen and take one walkon.  I left more than $50K on the table.  So, to any newbies out there, make sure you read the carryover rules clearly!  Ugh!

I think jafree is referring to the fact that you only get your 25% carryover if all 12 scholarships are filled.

See, I think you're almost always better off just targeting a better player somewhere along the way and shooting your wad.  You did blow $12,500 not signing a senior x'fer, but even with that, you lose $37,500 that could have been spent fighting for a better player.

Still, pretty damn painful, jafree.

sometimes it's better to sign the crappiest senior transfer. He'll fill that last spot and will be gone in a year
