No matter how I try to play the draft, the results always seem disappointing. I have tried 20 Mill to College/ 0 to High School & visa versa, tried 20 Mill in each, tried ranking the Top 25, then Top 100, etc. Nothing seems to really make a difference. Are their any real stragies to this or is it always pure luck? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I usually go with 15-20 on one or the other.. If the draft is weak I try to draft guys that will not sign or that will ask for a $$ increase in order to get a comp pick the following season. Doesn't always work...

You rarely get anybody super remarkable later that the 10th pick.. If I have a late pick, I tend to focus on RP's, speedy defensive specialists that have lopsided splits...

Rank the players you think have a BL future.  Have at least a half dozen of "any"(the more the better, IMO).   Set rating threshold at "0".

Top available player will be taken by you each round.

As for your disappointment, I can't help you.    You might be expecting too much.   If you get a couple of future BL players in round 1-2, you've done good.

What gets me is having the #1 pick and he does not sign.

Don't draft a "probably won't..." or "May sign if...." guy.
