Getting a recruit off your list? Topic

So I threw 3 scouting trips at this guy and just like that he's considering me. I don't want him on my list, was just curious of his potential. I informed him of redshirt and he was ok with that. Any other way to make him go bye bye? Thanks

Usually,  inform of redshirt+withdrawing the scholarship offer, works for me. But it sounds like you never offered a scholarship.  Perhaps, if you offer a schollie, then take it away in the next cycle???

There needs to be an unrecruit button!  No money comes back to you, you just inform the guy he is not one of your recruits any more!

Yea I didnt offer a scholly Al. Might be something to try, but I think I have done that before and they have still considered me. Unrecruit button would be great. Such an annoyance to try to find some potentials and then these guys linger on your list and make you look more spread out than you really are.

offering a scholie has recruiting value of its own. I don't think rescinding it completely negates it, but even if it does I can't imagine it would be anything but a net zero balance at best and cost you 100 bucks to boot. You're stuck with him til we get a send the recruit a box of fish heads button...

In theory, could you send a boatload (200+) of phone calls to the player?  I know that after a certain number of calls/letters you stop getting a positive recruiting action.  After this number is reached, are the additional calls/letters just ignored, or do they actually carry negative recruiting weight?

Obviously this isn't practical since the cost of performing these actions would never be worth it just to get a recruit to stop considering you.

This question should not be confused with "Getting a recruit off?"

meanwhile until you hit the threshold (and I'm not even sure that beyond that there are negative values or if it is just zero value) but any way until then you are gaining effort on him...just have to ride it out...

Oh yeah it is a terrible idea I would never recommend doing that, was just food for thought.

I've actually tried this twice.  The first time it worked, the second time it didn't.

+1 on introducing a please go away button.
