universal reaction to broken promises? Topic

does every recruit get upset about a broken promise or are there some that are less upset and/or some that don't care at all?

I believe all recruits will get upset about broken promises (and complain that you aren't keeping up your end of it).  Some just don't get riled up enough to leave at the end of the season (usually its those that you don't want on your roster).

The POINT at which they complain might differ (for instance on a promise of 10 minutes/game, Player A might pitch a fit once his average hits 8.5 mpg, Player B might not have the same reaction until his average hits 7.5 mpg), but I think any player you've promised something to will complain at SOME POINT if that promise is not upheld. I would imagine ***but do not know for certain*** that the degree to which they get upset if the promise isn't fulfilled to their satisfaction differs at season's end as well.

Just great. I signed a PF that had tons of potential last season in Knight, only to notice later that his WE was a measly little 1. I had also promised him 10 minutes a game, so I sat him hoping that he will leave after this season. Now I am worried that he won't.

Just cut him as soon as you can.  You won't even notice the rep hit (it may not change at all) and even if it does drop, it'll be right back to an A+ after a single season anyway.  Better that than keeping a useless player on your roster for four years.  Nothing wrong with cutting a guy you've signed, I do it all the time if I see I can upgrade a position.  Too much unnecessary worry about how bad one's reputation will suffer, especially if you're not planning on moving in the near future anyhow.
