Just curious on the comment above on velocity....I've shyed away to this point from guys with really low velocity (like in the 30s)....is there a point where it's too low and it really does handicap the pitcher? I guess there are always the Jamie Moyer types out there but 30 on a scale of 0-100 just scared me off I guess....

14 is an ok number but it doesn't mean that projections are guaranteed to be accurate, or really, close to accurate. He very well could have a vR less than what is projected. And I understand that you couldn't budget that number higher, which is one of the reasons I (and others) generally tell players in their first year to try to stay away from trades, especially ones that involve prospects. The bigger reason is that new guys won't understand the ratings well enough yet; it's easy to get fleeced.
As for velocity - I've never seen a number that's scared me away from a pitcher. 30s are fine. Just means more balls in play, but it doesn't mean less outs.
