Its nuts.  Granted he's made over 500 FTs in his career (SPD and ATH help), but he's only taken 5 there pointers in 4 years.  And missed all 5.

I had 0.0 expectation for him to be a scorer, I figured he was a classic PG, but in the FB he's been an absolute monster.  Against a conference sim last night he fouled out the guy guarding him in 4 minutes.

The guy I expected to be the scorer, who's "better" than him in all scoring ratings is Kyle Clifton.  He started out as a better scorer but has faded.

I have not been terribly bad playing fastbreak/fcp with my Oregon team the last two seasons. I just beat a more superior Colorado team last night by16pts playing these sets. Just need to recruit STA/SPD/ATH first, then BH and PA to try and limit turnovers. My team rankes 10th out of 12 to start my season in taking care of the ball. Not good. My FCP offsets that averaging 11 steals a game and ranked 8th in the country in steals. So it's off set. FCP may foul a lot, but I also draw a lot of fouls with fastbreak. I think playing both these sets off sets one another in certain stats.

What's more important for the FB speed or athleticism? For instance does my center need to be semi fast, or if he's especially athletic will he be able to make up for a lack of speed?

I dabbled with no 'real' center when I started this team.  I started 3 PG's and 2 SF's.  To Me ATH is always needed for bigs, but SPD helps.

I tend to favor Speed over Ath in the fastbreak, but not by much.

IVe been running fastbreak and man to man d
i tend to favor ath over speed but kinda value both together as a whole i usually add them together as one stat and target for a certain range at that position.
I will have to say i think i have had great success running a fastbreak i like the man to man defense as well with it as it allows you to keep your guys fresher and play more minutes than say just 20 my guys with good stamina can play 28-30 mins, its usually why i have a first -3rd team all american player like 3 out of the past 5 seasons i think , also a defensive player of the year it seems i get alot of blocks in man to man.  I havent had much postseason success yet but thats from lack of talent not scheme.

ive learned alot about the fastbreak in the past year or so running it and still learn new ways to tweak it to have even better results, still getting my prestige up to really compete as im also stayin at oakland in tark which makes recruiting hard.

I do agree per is def huge in the fastbreak as well as LP for guards, i find it hard to have bigs score alot with a good percentage even with a 20-25+ distro, compared to a good per player having a 14 in distro and outscoring him , which def leads me to believe guards are the most important positions in a fastbreak

I just took over Oregon in Wooden from Jaggedendz, so I am interested to see if I can get that team to an elite level using the FB and FCP. I love the press, but have not run a FB team since I first started HD, many seasons ago. Right now, the stamina has been an issue, but I noticed that jaggedendz didn't go 20 in conditioning for every player, which is something I tend to do with my press teams. I also noticed that some of the big guys were not very fast, which I think is important. I am going to fiddle with it and see what happens.
