Question in gameplanning Topic

If you are facing a team that has a superior defense (best in the conference) but you have a superior offense (at least 8 rating points above the other team in LP and PER). Would you suggest potentially running uptempo to create more opportunities? My team is the worse team but not by far, I am not heavily outmatched across the board but the only MAJOR difference between us is that I am superior on the offense.

Traditional thinking I tell my team to run slowdown and double up on his primetime scorer and make him out shoot me from the arc where I have 2 deadly perimeter shooting seniors. But looking now at overall ratings, I heavily out match him offensivly...

So TLDR, if my offense is much better than my "higher rated" opponent and thier defense is slightly better, should I consider uptempo to get more possesions and make him keep up with my offense?

I almost never use fast tempo when I'm the underdog.

I will run uptempo if I am the underdog if my opponent is not that deep, or if my bench is better than his bench. My hope is to make it a battle of the bench, or to potentially wear out or foul out his starters.
