Nothing to do about the actual information provided but more the proper way to use.

I hear alot people say they send 10 SV on the first cycle but to me this seems counter productive unless all you want to do is get them interested.

I have not seen any difference between sending 1 SV vs. 5 SV as far as the quantity of information given. So if I was going to send 10 SV wouldn't I send 1 each cycle and get more information each time if the end goal isn't to get them interested but to actually scout the recruit?

TLDR: If I wanted to scout the recruit and not get them interested and was investing 10 SV is it more practical to space them out 1 by 1 over cycles to maximize information given or just send all 10 on 1 cycle

The 10-visit suggestion isn't for gaining information, it's to pull a recruit down from a higher division.

If you were just looking for info, hopefully you'd get it all before 10 (but not always of course...) In general, yeah, if just looking for info I usually go in like batches of 3, but if the recruit is far away going 1 at a time is good...

people talking about sending 10 are doing it for pull down purposes. info gathering is byproduct at that point...

If you are recruiting someone close to you, you should be using Home Visits instead of Scouting Visits to get them interested.  They are more cost effective within 360 miles.  If you want to use SV's to pick out high/highs, then using them as you described (one at a time) is a good idea.

The true value of SV's lie in the inability of a recruit to reject them.  If you are trying to pull down a recruit, there is a very real chance that they reject a CV or HV.  They can't do this with SV's, making them helpless to your advances.  Most of the time(if not all?) you get your money back for rejected efforts, but you're still not gaining any ground and wasting time.

often people want more than 1 SV worth of information about a player they might be interested in, in 1 cycle. to do this, don't send 3 SVs in 1 go - send 1 at a time, 3 times, in the same cycle, and you will get 3 responses.

Wha?  If you send 3 in 1 go, you still get 3 responses.

llama and his nunts are correct - you get a response to every SV no matter whether sent individually or in bundles...

oh, i kind of thought so but then why is he saying you get as much info from 5-10 as 1? i was thinking SV gave you 1 response per but every other tool is 1 response per send, regardless of quantity, so i figured i just was remembering wrong... with that being the case, im kind of confused about the original question. so never mind :)

Yeah, I don't understand that bit from OP either.

Well... sometimes it's possible to get the same response to multiple SVs. It's rare but I've sent 2 visits before and both messages were exactly the same. It was frustrating because he was over 200 miles away but his blue potentials mattered. But yeah I always send campus visits together in one go and it makes no difference in the results of the messages.

As for sending over multiple cycles, I will say that I have heard SVs count for more if you send 10 at once, rather than 3, 3, 3, and 1 over 4 cycles (as an example). The 10 SVs is definitely to pull down recruits, but it's not perfect. Sometimes a recruit will drop after 5-7 visits and sometimes they take 15-20. I probably had about 65% luck with 10 in one cycle, so now I always send 12 and so far it's worked every time. In the past I had a recruit that I sent 10 SV, then 5, then 5 more to finally pull him down. In the end, a DII jumped me and took him away, I didn't fight but he would have been good. Always send a coach call before trying to pull down, the coach will let you know if you have a chance.
