Switching Offenses Topic

I have only tried to run Triangle once and it didn't work well. Now they may have been because I didn't recruit for it properly. Or it might have been because I don't set up distro right for the triangle offense. However, I think running triangle might be what my Arkansas team needs. I really like to focus on defense and I think I do a decent enough job recruiting defensive players. The problem is, my offense sucks. I don't have the prestige to recruit the players that can play great defense and score. I was wondering if you guys think I should switch my offense from motion to triangle because I am having a hard time getting enough players on the court that can score well enough to make motion effective, and still have a good defense.
If you think I should switch, how do I set up distro. My thought on trianlge has been: Starting I need a SG who can shoot, a SF who can score, and a post who can score. Then on the bench I need then same thing. Please correct me if I am wrong or give me other helpful input.
Thanks!

Triangle works best when you have a couple good scorers. I like to have a SPD/PER guy, a ATH/LP guy and then a third dude. Position is kinda irrelevant. I think it may work better with a good guard, a good post and a good SF but I have run it with the 1-2-3 guy be the main scorers as well.

I would generally set mine up with the best guy with a 24, the second best guy with a 16 and the third with an 8. Everyone is is somewhere between a 0-2 unless they are competent scorers themselves.

Looking at your Arkansas team I don't really see a great scoring option. Chiasson might be your best pure scorer. I would set the 24 guy based on match ups.
