I was under the assumption that if a freshman whom you promised to start went ineligible, you were pretty much screwed as they would still be expecting to start (as with an injury).  Is this not the case?  I had a player go ineligible and miss ten starts now, with absolutely no negative impact on his WE.  In fact, it has gone up 4 points after starting just 12 games.

Sorry to have to ask this, I know that ineligible and promised starts questions are asked to death on the forums.  I did try to search but couldn't find anything.

I'm not 100% sure but i believe:

If a player is ineligible the entire season, all promises are cancelled. If he becomes ineligible mid-season, the missed games don't count as 'broken promises'

Interesting.  I have a guy I promised a start to and am now kind of regretting it on my Cincinnati team.  I'm going to try to get him to go ineligible.  I know his development will suffer, but I think it would be worth it.  Can't afford for him to take a WE hit.
