Single digit free throws? Topic

What is the deal with the sim giving a team a single digit free throw total for an entire game? It's happened twice to my team in less than half a season (based on their real-life totals, they should average about 24 FTA per game). I guess I missed all the NBA games where that happened over the 40 or so years I've been watching! Seriously, is this a regular quirk in the system or a rare occurence?

happens more than it should.  If you have a lot of guys with high draw ((0.44*fta)/(tov+fga+0.44*fta) rate, then the odds of it happening are rarer, but it can still happen.

The sim's a ***'n mess and it's my understanding is FOX/WIS intends to do nothing to fix it. Apparently they intend to let the site die...

I just had a game in which my team shot four free throws.

outlier behavior is likely to happen in a machine based on randomized outcomes bounded by underweighted factors

the more extreme the outlier, the less the weighted factors have had an impact on the outcome

the less the weighting of factors has had an impact on the outcome, the less your drafting, strategies or otherwise team building skill has had an impact on the game

the less your drafting, strategies or otherwise team building skill has had an impact on the game, the more you might as well be flipping coins or rolling die or sticking crayons up your nose

stop me if you've heard this before

I've heard it wasn't a good idea to stick crayons up your nose.
