Thinking back to next season... I know, I know. Just humor me.

I can't remember where my team fell on the projection report but I do remember scratching my head that I didn't go to the PIT based on the report.

Looking back. My team:

W. Oregon, 14-14. Final RIP/SOS: 82/50.

Teams that went ahead of me that did not win a conference regular season:

N. Alabama, 13-14 (when selected). Final RPI/SOS: 111/67.
Barry, 21-7 (when selected). Final RPI/SOS: 99/218. (Maybe makes sense with the record... but 218 SOS??)
Tampa, 18-10 (when selected). Final RPI/SOS: 87/107.
Cal Poly Pomona, 13-14 (when selected). Final RPI/SOS: 94/34. (Looks pretty similar numbers-wise to my team. They got a 6 Seed.)

N. Alabama?? How did they go ahead of me? Seems off.

You can't just go off of RPI and SOS anymore.  You've got to look at the Projection Report to get a more accurate view of where you stand.  It's entirely possible that although these teams had similar or worse RPI/SOS numbers that they had more or better quality wins than your team.  Just guessing but I'd say that was the major determinant.

So the PIT selection follows the projection report to a T?

Yep.
