When to bring up young pitchers.... Topic

I have a team with a pretty decent handful of starting pitchers. I am at least a 2 seasons from being competitive in my division. I had them all in AA last season with a good defensive catcher. Should I just keep them in the minors together and go through another season or would they benefit more from ML experience?

Sorry, Im not very good at pasting the players. Centerfield league - STL franchise. Basically, it is my entire AA starting staff. Wasdin, Alexander are the big pieces.

1) The only way any player will "benefit more from [BL] experience" is if the coaches are better at the BL level, and they usually are.

2) I'd caution against bringing up a "bunch" of players the same season, as they will all be arb eligible and then LT contract ready the same season if you do that.
This makes budgeting a bit more challenging and I prefer to space them out a little. Maybe bring up 1 or 2 this season, then the other 1 or 2 the following season for example.

The powers of 2 are very interesting. The first greater than 1,000 is 2^10th . The first greater than 1,000,000 is 2^20th. The first greater than 1,000,000,000 is 2^30th and so on.

oh. . . you mean about his pitchers. . . .my bad.

Neither one of these guys are anything special at the BL level.   I'd argue that Wasdin will never be a BL-average pitcher.  Alexander is probably BL-average right now but, with the staff you have at the BL level, he's not going to push you over the top.    I don't see any reason to put either guy in the BL next season.
