Exporting to excel...... Topic

Is there an easy way to export to excel, or is the only way to Copy & Paste?

Windows Explorer has a "import to excel" command.

Excel has an import data from the web command.  It pops up a browser window.  You navigate to the prospects page and click on the box the contains the ratings.

I've done this and copy/pasted into both Excel and OpenOffice's spreadsheet.

For both Excel and Open Office, use Paste Special and select Text.

No matter how you do this, you'll still have to do some cleanup in the spreadsheet. I think copy/paste requires a bit less cleanup, but not by much.

Start with a new sheet
Open your team up in a window by clicking on it.
Copy the URL
Click in cell A1
Go to the data tab
Click on "from web"
Paste the url
Hit go
When the the team comes up click on the yellow box in the ratting section
Click import
When the dialogue box comes up chose existing workbook
Once it imports click on cell A9 which should be empty
Repeat except this time click on the yellow box next to the lineups section
Now not only is your ML team there, but if you hit refresh all it will update

I will check the forum tomorrow night to see if you had any trouble and try to answer any questions.

Thanks, tried it on the draft prospects, seemed to work fine, just have to do some clean-up.  Easier than highlighting and copy/paste.
