.... My team is underperforming its talent the last number of games. Is there something I'm missing, or am I just psyching myself out?

A quick look makes me think you're psyching yourself out.  One recent unfortunate loss, a win where you hit the spread exactly... Are you thinking of anything in particular, like, that your defense is underperforming or something?

First defeat was unfortunate, you lost at FT line. Second game, IMO, you should of cut your bench a bit against a really strong Chowan team. Other than that, you are in business to make a NT run.

Chowan didn't just beat me, they took me apart and put me back together with pieces missing.

Chowan is a very good team I wouldn't worry too much about that team. I don't know how significant it is but the speed differential sure stood out to me. In general I would like to have a little bit more team speed to beat a good press and specifically that team had a significant speed advantage.

That team will be just fine. Press teams will always be a crapshoot.

arsy, old friend,  i really dont even need to look at your team to answer this one.  ;-)

im sure your team is pretty dang good and you probably got a couple of bad breaks and/or ran into a couple of tough teams and played a bad game or two at the wrong time.

of course, thats great advice coming from one of the few coaches who could go toe to toe with you in terms of ranting and self loathing.
