i believe i asked this a few months ago and it was mentioned that spending over 25 on off/def started to decrease returns in IQ gain, but I'm not sure if there was ever confirmation if this was true?

last season I had set one of my teams to 27/27 and was wondering if for the next season i was thinking of bumping to 30/30, but could not remember if there was anyone who had tested IQ gain.  I know at 27/27 I was able to get my freshmen rated F to B- in both offense and defense, and with my class set to be 6 seniors and 6 sophmores, I'm hoping I can get my sophmores from B- to to hopefully B+ and actually win some games.

also if anyone has that IQ chart on how many minutes it takes to move to the next rating ie, B to B+ takes x amount of minutes, I believe there was a chart and couldn't find it looking myself.

and if anyone can confirm if IQ increases over the offseason, I've never actually checked to make sure?

i heard after 25 it doesn't matter and even with 25 mins you can get a freshman F-B- and it depends on his HS GPA to how much his practice minutes apply... it also depends on court time, the practice minutes does make a difference up to 25 mins but beyond that i heard its negligible. Then your looking at HS GPA and Court time

At 20/20, you'll get most freshmen from an F to a B- by the end of their first season (some of the slower learners or bad work ethic guys might only make it to a C+). 20/20 should also get those same players to at least a B+ by the end of their second season.

It's really a shame that when they introduced potential into this game that they didn't include IQ into the equation also. Still has linear growth. Having a "cap" on some players IQ's would really introduce a whole new level to the game. We all know players that just "don't get it". Well, why should those players be able to reach an A or A+ rating in IQ just like everyone else? Some players can't rebound, guess what, there's a cap on their potential. Some can't shoot, same cap. But apparently EVERYONE in this game can learn an offense and defense up to damn near the optimum level. Does that really make sense? Not to me. Should have changed that when they changed everything else. Then it would have made you choose, do you want the dumb-as-a-rock superstar or the not-quite-as-athletic coach's kid who runs the offense like a fine tuned machine? Really missed the boat on that one....
