I use a lot of the same players too, but I tend to join similar leagues over and over.  I look at it as trying to build the best team over time.  If I have Tony Gwynn, and he always produces for me in a certain league, I will continue to draft him.  I might have 6 players that I always draft, and then I have the other 2 position spots where I try new guys until I find a few that are consistent.

I don't know why you would blow up and entire roster just for the sake of trying new players, who you have zero experience using.

Wouldn't that depend on whether those players you have experience with have performed better or worse than you expected? Then again, my favorite leagues are those that prompt me to find players I've never used before, either to fill in around my regulars or for the entire team, to fit a cap and/or theme.

That theme sounds like fun.  Count me in for two teams.   You should invite flounder and keymaster.

The Cleveland Cream Puffs will take anyone out of his comfort zone. I can rig the USA draft if you want.

I agree with winner77, this game is great when you get past the monotony of always having the same core of players and concentrate more on the constant effort to build the perfect team around "your core." Let's face it if all players are a go you pretty much know Walsh, Joss, Maddux, Martinez, W. Johnson, or M. Brown are going to be on 18-20 of the teams in the league specially at caps over $100 mil. Oh and also before I get grouped in with the "nerds" I pitched and played OF for a small JUCO and I can honestly say baseball is my #1 passion/hobby in life so the comment about this being so unrealistic is silly to me. I'm not saying it's right on point but it's hard to disagree with the thought that a team who pitches great, plays above average defense, has speed all around and who's offensive mind set is DON'T MAKE AN OUT, just get on base by whatever means possible wouldn't be successful in any era of baseball then I would say you might not know the real game as well as you think.

what a whiny little loser.  It bothers you that people enjoy choosing based on stats?  Wow, let's go to a sim site that plays according to "reputation".  Bet that would be fun.  If statistically superior performances in certain seasons work the best, maybe people choose them.  Wow, how geeky.  You are a poor excuse of a good sport.  Go whine to your momma.  I've seen dispicable comments on here, but yours hit a nerve as especially sad and weak.  Go play your sim game where all Ryan Sandbergs and Curt Schillings win all the time.  And if you don't like clones, there are many leagues that don't use them.  It's called theme leagues.  But it's better to impune and whine.  How's that working in other areas of your life?  Bet you're the bell of the ball.

Oh, and I agree we'll really miss you. I'll bet you're a real peach of a guy.
