The current contract league will be starting its third auction soon.
It's a pretty unique league.
Each team has $ 1,000 to spend on its roster.
The auction value becomes the player's salary.
You may keep players from year to year by giving them raises, or they are released into the free agent auction pool.
You may sign guys for up to 5 years at a time.
If you sign a guy you own for one more year, he must get a $ 15 raise.
Two years is two $ 12 raises
Three years is three $10 raises.
Five years is five $ 8 raises.
That becomes the interesting part of the league. Who do you lock up each year and who do you let go.
Once you sign a guy, you are responsible for his contract, Tommy John surgery, or tragic accident.
The auction will be starting soon using the new 2014 players and it looks like we'll have two openings in our 24 team league.

The other fun part of this league is the auction. We use sealed bids to bid on about 20 players a day for about a month. It's an awful lot of entertainment for $ 12.
