Does anyone see a benefit to changing a players position rather than simply put a SG at PG without making the actually "player position" change?

all-conference honors, potentially all-american honors as well. 

maybe even draft stock, if done at the right level in the right season (AA--> draftable?)

but I've never done it. I might if I had two guys with the same last name, and wanted to differentiate more easily.

It also then allows that player to be rated under your custom ratings for the listed position rather than whatever position he was originally assigned.
