Quick question about a $6M bonus, Player is signed to a three year contract. $470k for each year. Owner gave player $6M bonus. Owner has put the player on waivers within the first year of the contract and before transaction deadline. Is that owner still on the hook for the bonus if the player is claimed or does the new owner take over the bonus? Thanks in advance...

The bonus is paid immediately, when the player is signed. If it's a contract extension that starts next season, then it is paid immediately upon rollover by the signing team. If the player is traded or claimed before the extension takes effect, I'm pretty sure the signing team is still on the hook for the bonus, while the new team is on the hook for the salary.

The bonus question is usually worth a lot of $$$ at the end of the game show.
