Quick recruiting question Topic

I'm considering taking a job and the school has 0 open scholarships for next recruiting period, I do want to cut 1-2 players however do I get any money with 0 open scholarships?

No - You don't get any recruiting cash for any player you cut this season.

Well not for cutting I know that but do I get any money for 0 open without cutting

nope-- just carryover (maybe) and conference recruiting cash, which is based on how many games the conference teams won in the postseason...

You also get 100% carryover if you have 0 open scholarships, so unless you really need to cut someone it's often advantageous to just stockpile the cash and build a big war chest for the next offseason.

Can you cut someone before roll over and get cash for it?

The only time you can cut players is prior to the start of signings; after that, you have to wait until world rollover.  So no.

he is taking over a new school, so there is no old carryover (someone else's point) and the no scholarships are for this season in which he is taking over (or considering taking over) the new school. Unless there are also no openings next season this won't apply...

You will have the school's share of whatever postseason tournament money was awarded.
