National Championship Tournament



NOT ONLY WILL YOU BE KNOWN AROUND THE LIVE COMMUNITY AS THE NATIONAL CHAMPION, ALL 3 CREDITS I RECIEVE FOR BEING LEAGUE FOUNDER  WILL BE YOURS TOO!!

THE GAME, 16 OWNERS WITH 3 TEAMS AT 3 DIFFERENT CAP LEVELS (80,100,120), ONLY 1 INSTANCE OF ANY PLAYER MAY USED ON THE 3 TEAMS, BASICALLY YOU'LL BE SELECTING 75 DIFFERENT PLAYERS SO TEAMS SHOULD BE VERY DIVERSE IN THE 3 LEAGUES.  180 LIVE GAMES. 60 PER TEAM, I KNOW IT'S A LOT SO IF YOU CAN'T COMMIT THE TIME DON'T SIGN UP.  NO DH, AAA, WW, OR TRADES, YOU HAVE TO SURVIVE WITH THE PLAYERS YOU SELECT.  HERE'S THE KICKER,  WINNING % OF YOUR LIVE GAMES ONLY WILL BE THE DETERMINING FACTOR IN WHAT 4 TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AT EACH CAP LEVEL (2 NL, 2 AL), SO THOSE TEAMS THAT WIN ALL THEIR SIMMED GAMES AREN'T GOING TO BE REWARDED HERE.  IN THE END IF ANY OWNER WINS THE WS IN 2 OF THE 3 LEAGUES HE WILL BE CROWNED LIVE NATIONAL CHAMPION.  IF THERE HAPPENS TO BE  3 DIFFERENT WS WINNERS THE OWNER WITH THE HIGHEST COMBINED WIN %, REGULAR SEASON ONLY, BETWEEN ALL 3 OF HIS TEAMS WILL RAISE THE BANNER!!  IF THE MINIMUM OF 60 ISN'T REACHED ON ANY 1 OF YOUR TEAMS ALL OF YOUR TEAMS WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE TOURNAMENT.  IF A CIRCUMSTANCE COMES UP WHERE YOU CAN'T PLAY I WOULD SUGGEST FINDING ANOTHER OWNER TO TAKE OVER YOUR TEAM.  I THINK WE'LL START THE 2ND CAP LEVEL  AFTER THE FIRST REACHES THE POINT WHERE THE QUICK START FEATURE ENDS AND GAMES START SIMMING, THEN THE 3RD CAP LEVEL WILL BEGIN WHEN THE SECOND REACHES THAT SAME POINT.  MOST GAMES SEEMED TO BE PLAYED WITHIN THE FIRST COUPLE WEEKS OF A LEAGUE STARTING ANYWAY. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BUT PLEASE DON'T SIGN UP UNLESS YOU CAN MEET THE 60/180 GAME MINIMUM.

Steve is viable, obviously.  Jeff, get in there.

Yaz_Benders, achilles, duece are my personal top 3.  No particular order.

After that the aforementioned szczubelek, Taint, myself, joshkvt, dlrawson, braveboy73, donaldjtrump, keymaster, GUSV, Tdiddy all comprise a tough 2nd tier.

If we could somehow scare up the ghosts of Bilfert, habsfan1, and Panzer Gen.  THEN I'd have a cardiac arrest.

I would have to say Frozenrope sticks out in my mind as always being in the playoffs and the recently retired Braveboy always seemed to give me some battles!! I thought about sending out invites but didn't know who was still around and would be willing to participate, I figured with it being winter time and not much going on now would be a great time to run something like this but apparently not. Any suggestions to make this more appealing?

I'd join if there were more specific themes.  A bunch of high cap open leagues is going to lead to everyone using the same cookies.

Ditto! ... One single open league (100M-110M?) should suffice for a "National Championship"! (Very Nice running already an open league at 120M)... 

That's why I limited the use of players, you can only have 1 Joss, Walsh, Johnson between the 3 teams, it's up to you to determine which cap level you want to use them at. With no AAA OR WW I wouldn't really call 80 and 100 "high caps" and I just thought 1 league is kinda the norm, with a 3 team format and only being able to use 1 instance of a player I thought there would be quite a diverse group of players selected and also a wide variety of team strategies implemented. Oh well I'll leave the idea out there and maybe I'll get 13 more guys who will give it a go. Thanks guys
