So I filled all my schollies and still have an outstanding scholarship offer to a kid who is going to be dynamite. Great starting cores and high everywhere. Problem was that he dropped kind of late. However, I had put 6 or 7 ST's in trying to pull him down, so he probably would have signed with me if I still had a spot.

My question is will he go JuCo if a sim doesn't snatch him up last cycle? Additionally, who goes JuCo? Is the recruit pool each year generated such that there's a surplus of maybe only 100 guys after everyone fills their spots, and thus every recruit not signed goes JuCo? And if that's the case, why don't listed recruits ever walk-on? The guys you get as walk-ons are unrealistic in that their ratings correspond roughly to the skills of a 2nd grade girls 6th (wo)man.

There are 100's of guys that don't get signed.   Check at 11 PM of the last day to see if they signed or are considering anyone.  If they don't sign, they go JUCO and will stay on your considering screen.   I think 1/4 of your effort gets carried over.

And all of those who don't get signed go JuCo?

I'm fairly certain the only recruits that go Juco and appear the following season are either those that are recruited as an ineligible and deciding not to show up on campus (only in Div 1 & 2, even those recruited by SIMs) and those that end up leaving programs due to broken promises/getting cut. Right now I see only a total of 88 recruits with 3 years of eligibility in Phelan's next recruiting season which would be awfully low for all the unsigned 4 year recruits all going Juco.

Every new recruiting season, WIS generates new 4 year and some 2 year (Juco) recruits for us to recruit from which are the majority of the available recruits.

It also goes that any unsigned 2 year Juco does NOT appear available in the following season unless they too were ineligible/cut as the only 1 year players ending up available are always those cut but teams (1 year players are never WIS generated).

I don't know, I feel like some guys I recruited but didn't sign stayed on my recruit list for the next season.  Maybe I am wrong and it's only the ineligibles.  Lets us know what happens to your guy AB.

im pretty sure ive had recruits who werent inels, that showed up the next season as juco3.    

actually,  i kinda thought that anyone who was recruited by a human and not signed by anyone went juco... but after giving that some thought  i suspect that i was mistaken,

I have for sure had guys I recruited but didn't sign or sign with another team be on my avail list the next year. I also showed the money I spent for that year on there also.

A simmy just jumped on my guy. If I didn't already have 6 recruits, I wouid have cut somebody for him. Projected 95 sp, 60 d, 70 BH, 50 pe, 40 LP, 60 passing.

Maybe there some threshold of effort that needs to be exceeded for a recruit to stay in the next seasons pool of available recruits?  I guess another way to check would be just prior to end of recruiting, take a list of available recruits and then compare with the available list after the new recruits are generated to see if any are still there.

Naismith recruting just finished.  I have 5 guys still on my summary page, now listed with 3 years eligibilty.   For 3 of them, I placed one phone call. I made no effort on the other two except adding them to my watch list. 

They're pretty smarl too...GPA's of 4.0;  4.0; , 3.9;  3.1; and a slacker at 2.0

Interestingly enough, my stud didn't end up signing with the sim. When I looked last cycle, he had 2 scholarships to fill and my guy was the only one currently considering. Interesting.
