If a player is cut mid-recruiting cycle, does he appear immediately or is it delayed until the beginning of the next cycle or is there another possibility that's not mentioned here?

I don't think that's true.  Cut players get taken off their team immediately, but don't show up on the recruit search until the start of the next cycle, so that nobody has an unfair advantage.

Nope, this is definitely true. I cut a guy at 2:08 yesterday afternoon. Then at 3:00 I decided to search all three year players and there he was sitting at the bottom of my DI list

So maybe I shouldn't have said immediately, but it was within an hour and definitely in the same cycle

Well, it may be immediately to you as the coach who cut the kid (and I'll take your word that this is the case as it's been a while since I've cut a player), but to everyone else, the kid doesn't show as available until the start of the next cycle.

For example, all the kids that get cut in the cycle immediately prior to signings don't show up to anybody else until the start of the signings cycle.  Plus, I know I've checked the "News" tab of a given player's former team after he was cut and often it shows it was in the prior cycle, but I know he wasn't recruitable in that same cycle.

So, from a practical standpoint, it's at the start of the next cycle although his former coach may be able to see him as immediately available.

Huh, okay.  I cant argue that.  The funny thing is I was able to put effort into him right away.  I was tempted to see how many scouting trips it would take to pull the guy down for a player that I cut, or if he would just tell me to go to hell.
