Obviously this has been discussed before, but I've never seen anyone reach any real conclusions on offseason improvement. Is there any rhyme or reason to it, or just a roll of the dice? Has anyone ever done any studies on the impact WE has on offseason improvement? It seems simple enough to do, so the lack of information and discussion on this surprises me. Although I suppose there's really no point in discussing this if its effects are totally random and out of your hands.
Given a large enough sample size, which of these two players could you expect to have the best offseason improvement:
Player 1: 50 WE, blue in all categories
Player 2: 80 WE, black in all categories
I've heard of people loading up practice plans based on where they want their players to improve, but pretty sure this is confirmed to have no impact. The only thing that I know impacts offseason improvement is if a player goes ineligible during the second grading period.
I know its not an important topic, just something I've always wondered about.
