Was wondering what the significance is of "meeting expectations" vs "exceeding expectations" shown on our main page...?

Is there a recruiting advantage or a gameplay advantage?

No. It's only something to pertains to firing. So unless you're in D1 it won't matter, and even in D1 it's a rarity to be fired anymore.
