D1 internationals pulldown to D2 Topic

Is it possible?  I've tried a few times and never gotten any positive response.

Absolutely, I do this with my D2 teams all the time.  For the internationals, you seem to have to aim for a little bit lower of an overall rating than you would for a comparable stateside player.  I suspect that if you called a couple of players with the little bit lower overall, you'd get some positive responses.  Also, what kind of prestige do your D2 teams have?  Big factor there also, of course.

I thought you said you've never gotten a positive response with a D2 team?  You've got a kid from Canada on your Wheeling Jesuit team, he's an international.  The roster says that he was recruited by the0nlyis.

I'm pretty sure he was a D2 prospect not a D1 pulldown

This is how I make my money. You can find good value in D2 internationals. Buyer beware, it's high risk.

Good call, didn't think about that and my mind wasn't exactly working properly last night.

Very high risk.  But very often worth it.

has anyone been able to draft a D11 player for D111 and when was that posssible

Coaches with very high prestige (think A+) teams have "recruited" players from D1 as long as the player was within 70 miles.  Within 70 miles players will give you a little more love than they would if they were halfway across the country.  Think of it as kind of a "hometown discount" kind of thing.

To your original question, any D3 coach that is serious about winning is "recruiting" D2 players, you better believe that.  It's about as common as the sun rising.

The big problem with international pull downs is that they can get insanely expensive. Within division, I can usually get a guy considering me before I even know all his important potentials. Pull downs can take more than 10 SVs and I know I hate sinking that much into a recruit with no guarantee that he'll consider me.
