If anyone is interested in joining a MLB survivor pool the info is below. I'm not running it, a guy from my fantasy baseball league is. I'm just trying to help recruit.

This is the 4th year of me running a baseball survivor pool. We had 48 players in 2012, a $25 entry took home a pot of over $1,100. In 2013, we had 84 players, and the winner took home just under $2,000. In 2014, we had 102 players and 2 participants went the distance and split the pot of about $2,400.

The pool is being run on www.officefootballpool.com, which many of you are probably familiar with through NFL and NCAA pools. Details on how to register and enter this pool are below.

The concept is very simple and is basically identical to the wildly popular football survivor pools. The detailed rules and instructions to join are below, but the nutshell is as follows:

You select 1 team per week. Your team has to finish that week's games at .500 or better for you to survive and move on to the next week. If your team finishes that week below .500 (basically, has a losing week), you get a strike. Get 2 strikes and you are eliminated. Once you pick a particular team, you may not pick that team again. The last remaining entry wins the entire pot. If multiple entries are last eliminated entries, they split the pot.

The fee is $25 per entry, and multiple entries are allowed and encouraged. You may send your fee either by paypal (make it a gift) to:

[email protected]

or mail to:

The pool starts on Monday APRIL 13, 2015 - we will once again start a week after the MLB season starts to make sure starting rotations get set and to avoid some of the early season postponements. Again, APRIL 13, 2015. Thus, your payments are due by the end of APRIL 12.

I hope many of you will join, and please feel free to forward this to others who may be interested. It would be great to improve on last year's impressive turnout!

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Gary

Pool ID#: 83225
Pool Entry Code: vnqzgm

OBJECT OF THE GAME
You pick one major league baseball team per week and they need to win at least half of their games for you to advance to the next week. If they win less than 1/2 their games (less than 50%) then you are eliminated.

COST TO PLAY
$25 per entry - multiple entries are allowed and encouraged

PAYMENT METHODS AND DEADLINE
The pool starts on Monday, April 13. Payments are due by the end of April 12. You can paypal them to:

[email protected]

or mail them to:

BASEBALL WEEK
For the purposes of this pool, a week starts on Monday 1:00 PM Eastern and ends on Sunday after conclusion of the last game

WINNING THE GAME
The winner is the person who advances to the latest week. If 2 or more people are eliminated in the same week, it's a tie, regardless of the day or time they are eliminated.

STRIKES
You are eliminated once you lose your selections for 2 weeks. Losing 1 week doesn't eliminate you.

TIEBREAKER
If 2 or more people advance to the end of the season, they will split the winnings.

TEAM RESTRICTIONS
You may only pick a team once for the duration of the pool. For example, if you pick the Rockies in week 1, you can never pick them again.

PICK DEADLINE
The pick deadline for this pool is 1 PM Eastern every Monday, starting on April 13, with the exception of the All-Star Game week (that week doesn't count). However, during rare weeks when Monday's games may start before 1 PM Eastern, once a game starts, picks for the teams involved in that game are locked and can't be changed or entered. You can only enter or change picks for teams that haven't started playing that week.

AUTOPICKS
Given that no team may be used more than once, there is no autopick feature for Lucky Baseball Survivor. If you do not pick a team before the weekly deadline, you will receive a strike.

RAIN OUTS AND SUSPENDED GAMES
If a game is rained out or suspended, the results of that game are not counted until the game is completed. If your picked team plays fewer games than expected, they still must win 1/2 of their games that week. So if they only play 4 games, they need to win 2. If they play 5 games, they need to win 3.

DOUBLEHEADERS
If your team plays a doubleheader or more games than are on the original schedule, all the games count. So if they play 7 or 8 games in a week, they must win 4 for you to advance.

ENTERING PICKS
Each person will be responsible for entering their own picks on the website. To enter picks, you need to sign into the website with your own personal screen name and password and go to My Picks for the picksheet.

ALIASES
Aliases can be used to make multiple entries into the pool. Check the website FAQ page to find out more about Aliases.

CONFIRMING PICKS
It is your responsibility to confirm that your own picks are accepted by the website. You should see the Congratulations Screen after submitting your picks and you should receive a pick confirmation email. If you are still unsure if your pick was accepted, you should return to the picksheet, not by using your browser's back button, but by clicking on the My Picks link. If your pick was accepted it will be prefilled on the picksheet.

DISPUTES
If there is ever a discrepancy between what the website shows and what the player says he/she entered, the website will be considered correct. If there is ever a discrepancy between what the website shows and a pick confirmation email, the website will be considered correct.
