What is this low/high or average/high??  D1 Center rated 42 in rebounding and FSS blue.  What improvement can I expect in four years?

Not someone I depend on to grab a board with the game on the line - there's no reason to NOT expect HUGE improvement here.

high/high.  He'd cap at 70+.

In my experience, you should get anywhere from 28 to max improvement. That's a high-high response.

just keep in mind that the only 2 attributes that can grow crazy ammounts (atleast that Ive seen) is perimeter and low post.  So dont recruit a guy hoping the HI/HI is possibly 40 pts of growth to get him where u need him to be.

for example if you need a guard to have 80bh 80pass to be able to use him,  then do go out hoping the HI/HI BH/PASS on 38/38 is going to beable to develope into your PG.  I usually just assume that 30-32 is going to be my max possible then I can see if he'll work,  if not then I move on.  I made way too many mistakes in recruiting guards hoping guys with HI/HIs would turn out to be PGs instead they are carrer backups.

That's not true at all.  Any attribute that is high-high has the potential to grow "crazy amounts".  Sure, it is much more common for a player to improve 40 points in PER than it is for ATH, but its definitely still possible.

Yeah, but that's about where exceptional ATH growth tops out.  LP and PER can, and often do, improve a lot more than that.

A player starting with a 25 ATH (high-high) and 25 LP or PER (high-high) is far, far, far more likely to increase to 65+ in LP or PER than in ATH.  Given a good work ethic, probably 40% of the time the high-high LP or PER is going to get into the 80s or 90s. The ATH will do that exactly 0% of the time.

It's still best to recruit with the idea that the player will be acceptable if they "only" get thirty in their high/highs. Because then the worst disappointment you get is an acceptable player rather than a waste of roster space.

Pass also grows alot, block grows the least....someone posted an analysis of it recently, it was very insightful

He is a 75 ATH Average (black) "could improve message", but a 92 WE also in black.  Do those two high attributes help with amount of growth, or just speed of growth.  I left that detail off my post until after I secured his committment to play at Iowa (Wooden)

WE (and playing time and starts, indirectly)  and practice minutes effect speed of growth.....Your guy should grow to 83-100 ATH with the black part growing quite fast with 20 minutes in COND.

Actually, in my experience, once you get up around 80 - 85 the growth starts slowing down.  Growth *definitely* slows down a lot as you move through the 90s.

It certainly slows down somewhere around 83 but it doesn't crawl until to you are red.
