I am ranked third in my conference tournament. But I received a message that I was the regular season champ and am ranked at the top of my half of the conference. I split the regular season series with the other team, but it appeared as if I had won the tiebreaker but I'm still ranked third. How does this happen and why?

youre a two seed in the conf.  you tied for first and the tiebreaker went to the other school so they got the 1 seed from your division and you get the two seed from yoir division.  seeds are by division not the entire conf, so the other 1 seed is from the other division.

if two teams in a division finish 16-0 and 1 15-0 while in the other division a school wins it at 12-4 the 15-1 school still only gets a 2 seed because the division winner was 16-0 and the 12-4 team gets  a 1 seed.

But what I'm saying is in my half of the conference, We were both 14-2 in conference play. We tied our season series. But I am put above him on the standings and I got a message that I was the regular season winner of the conference. Yet, I am a 2 seed. Im just confused how this happened.

Both teams are the conference winners, but Hamline gets the higher seed because you have the same overall record and they have the higher RPI. This is from the FAQ:
Q: How are the seeds determined for the Conference Tournament? What are the tiebreakers?
A:

Overall Conference record, at the conclusion of the regular season, is used to seed teams number 1 through 12. There are also several tie-breakers that may be necessary.

The following procedures are set up to establish seeding for the championship and to break ties. Follow the appropriate steps in order.

Two-way Tie (2 teams in the same division conclude the regular season with the same conference record)

  1. Regular season head-to-head results (one game or two). If the tied teams split their two games, then proceed to Step #2 below.
  2. Overall record. If the tied teams had identical overall winning percentages, then proceed to Step #3 below.
  3. RPI ranking

Multiple-Team Tie (3 or more teams in the same division conclude the regular season with the same conference record)

  1. Teams are viewed as a “mini-conference” when comparing head-to-head results. The team with the best record (as determined by winning percentage, even if unequal games) vs. the other teams in the mini-conference gains the advantage. If two or more teams, but not all, have the same best winning percentage in the mini-conference (likely implies same number of games played in mini-conference), only those specific teams advance to the next tie-breaker Step 2 below. After the top team in a mini-conference is determined, the next team is ranked by its record in the original mini-conference. If there are any remaining teams tied by their record in the mini-conference, then they will proceed to Step #2 below to determine the higher seed.
  2. Overall record. If the tied teams had identical overall winning percentages, then proceed to Step #3 below.
  3. RPI ranking

you had the lower rpi of the two schools, and the other school also received a message about being conf champions, and both schools will have conf champion listed in their history, but for conference bracket he gets the 1 seed from the division and you get the 2 seed since you have the lower rpi

I like that if everyone goes 8-8, you have 12 Conference Champions.
