Back to Candy Land: I grew up with the version where you flipped the cards (in the 80's), but the one we have at home for my 3 year-old has a spinner.  I prefer the cards but at least the spinner doesn't get lost.

No opinion on the cards vs spinner debate, but I'd like to point out that the Wikipedia entry for Candyland says that Adam Sandler was approached to star in a movie based on this game. Sounds horrifying.
