(Can't find the answer for this in the player's guide or a search of the forum.)

So, I'm attempting to trade for a player that will put me over my payroll budget.  Part of the trade is cash to cover the difference.  Will the trade fail after the review period if my budget is temporarily unable to accommodate it? Or does the cash in the trade automatically go to payroll?

The alternative is to transfer the money over from prospects but I'd rather not pay that penalty if I don't have to. 

I would appreciate any guidance on this matter.  Thanks!

When cash is added to the trade screen, the new payroll budget will be reflected in that trade screen.
If you are still over when the cash is added and looking at that screen, then you will need to work something else out.
