What are people's acceptable trade off for offense v. Defense at second base?

It's not to hard to find an adequate defensive second baseman, as long as you know the difference between right and left. So offense is priority here IMO.

Well what I'm getting at- what type of rc/27 would you need from a guy to play a 70 range 70 glove at second? I'm hurting for offense and thinking about going with one- I guess I'll get a better idea as the season progresses

It's always based on what you need.    I used Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Cristian Easley at 2B for 40 someodd games in S31.    He wasn't bad(would have cost me about 40 plays had he played there all season) and his OPS was .962.    I could live with that.

I am a big proponent of defense, but I have actually had unexpectedly good success with players like that at 2B.  He won't generate plus plays, but if his arm is average, he should not get more than a couple of minus plays and give you a good fielding percentage.
