I haven't played the game too often, but how long ago did they implement the 1250 IP and 5000 PA open league minimums?

It's been quite a while, since the last update.  Years.  They also tinkered with AAA; there are limits on what can be put in your minors.  And watch out for the minimums (IP, PA) when hitting the Waiver Wire.

Pinot is correct; I'd bet it was back in 2010 or so. Was done to eliminate certain strategies of the time which many felt led to unfair competition (especially against newbies) by vets who played in OLs.
