Great job opportunities in Rupp D2 Topic

Looking for a new team? Moving up to D2? I would highly recommend East Coast Conference teams Adelphi and Bridgeport.

First the conference. There's me. Except for the last 2 drop seasons that happened because of a change of job and move that ruined 2 recruiting classes, I usually throw together an At-large caliber team. I don't plan on leaving any time soon. We have another new-ish coach that has thrown together some NT before moving into our conference. He's still in rebuild. Then we have two of the best teams in the country. First we have last year NC and a good shot to repeat. THen we have a coach who's RPI has not been below 20 in 9 seasons and has a NC. So right away, the talent level is there in the conference.

As for Adelphi and Bridgeport.... both have 7 SRs, 4 JRs, 1 walkon. So that means 8 Scholarships right away. You can spend SO MUCH MONEY on a solid group of 4 o guys and then take the walkon hit. Then, you have  8 scholarships to do it again. Any recruiting worth his weight in dung should be able to use that extra cash to nab some good talent those two years. In 3 years, you will have a competitive team. In 4 years, you will have a deep upperclassman group that should have some studs. Adelphi is likely a C prestige after a decent year. Bridgeport is C- maaayyybe C.

We really want to fill this league out. 2 more coaches will really help that out. And these 2 teams are ripe for the picking to turn around very fast.

Plus our message board is active and the great coach nova will provide lots of entertaining banter about monkeys and typewriters.

I might be interested if you're okay with a newer coach--sim-filled D3 conference just isn't fun, even if I should be primed to be a strong contender the next few years.

Okay seriously. Concordia and NYT just played each other in the CHAMPIONSHIP game. Back to back trophy for our conference. Get on board.... or get runover.
