Dlll recruiting Topic

I've been playing this game forever but just got back into Dlll. I have gotten fairly decent at pulling down recruits with my Dll team. But my question is, about where is the cutoff for pulling down the Dll recruits at Dlll? Can you pull down guys +500 ratings? I'm sure I can make coach calls and feel my way thru it, but wanted some feedback. I inherited a terrible team and need immediate help. Any comments appreciated.

There isn't a firm line but for my B prestige teams it's about 480 for local guys and 460 for guys more than 70 miles away.

Ok great info. Thanks. I've been looking at the other teams rosters to see where they started. I've got a C- team so I'm not expecting the world, but would like to get something going quickly if I can.

A great tip I was told in my early seasons that still seems to hold true at both D3 and D2 -- Do a search for 4-year recruits at your division and look at the highest rated player on the list. You will be able to pull down players up to 10 points higher than that rating from the next division up. Inside 100 miles, you can pull down players up to 25 points higher than that rating. In both cases, not all of the players that fit that criteria will be willing to being pulled down, but it gives you a target rating you can aim up to every season (and it will change every season based upon your prestige).

I try every now and then to go outside these parameters, but so far I have yet to receive a favorable feedback from a player not within the above ranges.
