Need help with recruiting Topic

I'm recruiting a player that's a little above my prestige "pay grade." I don't know if I should continue recruiting, or just be patient and see if he is still not being recruited late in the signing period.

I've scouted him twice and offered a scholly... here is his response: "Coach, to be quite honest, there is just no way I see myself at Eureka next season. Although I'm not saying no, I'm just saying it's very unlikely."

Does anyone with experience have any advice on how I should proceed? He is not currently considering anyone.

2 scouting trips sounds very low...is he a D2 recruit you're trying to pulldown, or a D3 recruit?  Also, did you call his coach?  Generally they're the best gauge of letting you know how possible it is to sign said player.  Some added info here could help us try to help you.  Glad to see you back in the game man.

is he a division 2 recruit?  If so did you send a coach message?  If so what response did you get from the coach?  Something like "I think you have a shot if his top options don't work out" or "I've never heard him mention Eureka at least not positively"  If it is similar to the 2nd then there is no amount of money you can spend to get him.  If its similar to the first then you can do 2 things pulldown which it seems like you are attempting, to pulldown make sure you are using Scouting trips usually 10  plus a scholarship is enough but many more especially if other schools are after him is not uncommon.  Or you can wait and hope no one at a higher division takes him at which point you will receive a message like "After talking it over with my parents Eureka doesn't seem like a bad fit, give me a call" in which case you can start sending hv and cv.

I did contact his coach twice in the beginning... his response both times was... "Hey Coach, thanks for the call to chat about Player X. From one coach to another, I think he'd consider Eureka if his 'A' list schools don't pan out."

He is a DII player that I am trying to pull down.

then like colonels said 2 st+ scholly isnt enough, I dont know what the min is for a pulldown but 10 is a number thrown around a lot as the usual.

For pulldowns I usually send 10+scholly or 10 then 3+scholly in the same cycle

Not sure if u have the scratch to do it but usually you need at least 10+ scouting trips to pull a guy down...it's tough to do at d3 I think
