Is there any way to transfer your resume to a new world?

My father is D1 in Smith and I'm D1-eligible in Rupp.  We've always talked about joining a conference together, but I don't particularly want to work my way up from D3 in Smith to do so.

Is this still not an option, even with the renewal update?  Thanks

This would be a nice option if its not available.

Resumes are not transferable between worlds.

cant do it

IF they were to create an ability to do that, I think it would need limits - like a significant step down at the time of transfer between worlds.

How would you feel if your dream school came open, you had the best credentials but then from another world swoops in and takes the job....

Agreed...it's an idea that sounds good at first, but when you think of the implication to the game probably isn't in its best interest in the long haul.

It doesn't strike me as a good idea (dare I even say a fair idea?) to let someone play to D1 in one world and then instantly give them line-cutting privileges in the other 11 worlds. At the very least there needs to be a limit so I don't play up to D1 in one world and then suddenly expand to six worlds and grab D1 programs in each of them. But even with limits, it isn't an idea that I like, even though I certainly understand the viewpoint of the original scenario. I think it best to maintain a level playing field though and the only way to get to D1 in a world is to have sufficient "skin in the game" in that world and earn their path to D1.

maybe OP and his dad could join a new world, together and try to build up together advancing into same conferences along the way - might take away some of the (admittedly annoying) drudgery of the lower divisions (that drudgery no offesne to those wanting to play lower divisions - I mean if you want to be in D1 it can suck to spend 5 seasons not in D1...)

There may be people with eligible ids they arent interested in using in a world that you might use, although it is technically against the rules to access someone else's account (which also makes things like helping out someone in the community who goes on vacation or gets sick or whatever against the rules, but that's not enforced). I think it would only be enforced if someone was selling ids or something, that would clearly be wrong.

I like the idea of being able to transfer your resume among different worlds.  I assume that the reason they make you work your way up is to learn the game before landing in D1.  I don't think it is really necessary to play 5 or more seasons to get you ready for D1.  I wish you could sign up for a new world and pick whatever division you want.  If I wanted to play D1 then I could pick any D or D- prestige team that is available.  I think the 5 or more seasons you would spend building that low major team up would better prepare you for mid or high level D1 than working your way through the lower divisions.  Going back to the original idea of transfering your resume to different worlds, I think you should be able to do it.  I understand that having someone swoop in on your dream job would suck, but you say that any coach who is coming from a different world would not get the job if someone already in the world applied (and qualified) for it.  Basically, you could use your resume to go to any open job that you qualify for, in any world, as long as no one from that world has applied for it.  For a long time I only had 1 team.  I had thought about taking on a second team for awhile, but I wasn't thrilled about working my way through the other divisions.  I eventually went ahead and did that, but I would have taken on a 2nd team (more money for WIS) a lot sooner if I could have jumped right into D1.
I would love to see more teams coached by humans in D1 and these ideas would promote that agenda.

Just to address the swoop in and take your job thing... if they can swoop on you does not mean you cant swoop another world... opening up resumes to worlds would allow more than just 1 dream job for someone, they could potentially have 3-4 chances at that job because its open accross the couple of worlds but not yours... i get it people are worred they may lose there job in there world, but the flip side is there would be more jobs in other worlds...

Wait. I thought there were a total of 10 worlds, meaning 9 others would be available. Are there an extra two worlds I don't know about?

Well, yeah, there's those two super-secret worlds where we meet and try out all the changes that the masses don't ever get a chance to see because they never get implemented in the main game. Totally enjoying the ability to call a four-out, one-in isolation post-up play vs. man-to-man defenses over there.

Or it could be that I was just an idiot and had the wrong number on the brain when I typed that up.

Personally, I'd put my money on the second of those scenarios...

It's 12 if you count the champions world and the beta test world, but those aren't open to the public to join.

intergrity of a world is currently an important part of the game - would change a lot of folks could move between worlds.  Watch out for unintended effects.....
