Is Knight getting empty? Topic

I saw so many DIII coaches leaving, so many DII coaches leaving, is there a problem with this world?

What number are you talking about?

At turnover, folks get sloppy about renewals. Also, I think some play a job gambit to change positions outside the regular process. That makes the changeover look weird.

Every time I've checked the 3 2/day worlds have looked nearly identical at D2 & D3. Site search me numbers at season starts.

It got better at DII, but check DIII, lot of vacancies.

Rogelio : Naismith North Coast Athletic... We need you there. Two teams to fill.

just comparing Naismith and Knight, even though they are very different, Naismith has 258 D3 jobs open compared to 291 for Knight.  Knight every season has multiple A prestige D3 schools open during jobs and when opened up and still does, Naismith I think had/has 1/2.

Naismith is certainly the outlier based on last year's D3 numbers, but when I looked last week I got these figures for D3 prior to the job change period:
  1. Naismith   (146)
  2. Allen          (108)
  3. t-Knight      (104)
  4. t-Wooden  (104)
  5. Tarkanian  (99)
  6. Rupp          (92)
  7. t-Smith        (89)
  8. t-Phelan     (89)
  9. Crum          (86)
  10. Iba               (79)
Average = 99.6  So, Knight has ABOVE average participation (tied for 3rd) at the D3 level.

Well I got back to Knight and I am in Naismith. Naismith is TOP! DIII is played in Naismith.

Do you guys have stats for DII and DI?

Thanks

Here's a forum thread that could be updated by someone with time (or say a computer program) to updated it.

I decided to get a rough count of Smith, just to see:  D1 = 138; D2 = 96; D3 = 89.   I suspect that a D1 bias will exist in all worlds, but D3 populations certainly look a shade low generally.
