It never ceases to amaze me that I can have played the game as many seasons as I have and occasionally come across new stuff still. Just got the following message, which is not on my cheat sheet: 

"Following up on <player name>, I finally got a hold of him yesterday. He talked to me, but I'm guessing we're near the bottom of his list."


Am I correct to interpret this message as a target who may drop/be pulled down? Or is this just a long-winded way of being told 'no'? Still stunned that I have no record of having received this message before.

Nope -- beyond 560 miles and still showing as a recruit for the next division up. All I've done is the bare $10 phone call. 

For the sake of knowledge -- scholarship offer sent. Will report back next cycle. 

I guess it has to be a pulldown message because the schools reaction was the "the more I think about playing there, the more I think it's just not for me, I'll keep your offer here though..." blahblahblah 

Guess I've got my answer and a new entry for the cheat sheet. 

whoops, scholarship isn't enough... that does rule out it being a "no way" message though. but i would try a HV as well to determine for sure if immdiately recruitable or pulldown (both sound like pulldowns but i cant imagine they just added that, seems strange)

I've received this type of message from a recruit the division up a couple of times in recent recruiting cycles. In both cases, I sent a couple SVs and a HV (both accepted). The recruits were considering me with effort that probably would not have been enough to pull them down. I also noticed, that each recruit dropped into my division at the first cycle that recruits drop (11 AM)

It's definitely an immediately recruitable message.  Sorry I didn't check earlier.

Is my old team available? It would be too weird to coach a school other than Shenandoah if I was in the league. I'd feel like I was at someone else's school!

I'm slowly climbing back into my old worlds now that I've got a handle on how the recruiting timetables align in the middle of the Pacific and how it fits in around the new job, new wife and all the responsibilities and such.
