Newbie here.  I have at least one player on my arbitration report who I don't want to offer arbitration (I don't want to keep him, period).

What is the best way to dump him?  And how do I decline to offer arbitration to make sure I don't end up stuck paying him any money if I don't get rid of him quickly enough?

Note - the world schedule has not been set yet, so maybe there are options addressing this that will show up after the rollover?

You can release him before or on arbitration day wit no financial commitment. 

If he's still on your roster by the end of arbitration day, he will automatically be arb'ed and you are stuck with the salary.

You can also trade him before arb day.

Once you are able to make roster moves, before arb, you can release him.
