I've been in Portland (-4,-3,-4,-2,-2) for three seasons. Led the league in most team pitching categories all three, and my starting C has a PC of 44 - but I also emphasize above average defensive position players. Made the playoffs all three.
My pitching was decent to begin with, and I had been playing in Wrigley to try to help out my bats, but all it did was beat up my pitching.
I don't get many complete games because my pitchers don't have the DUR/STA combo for that. And my pitchers run into fatigue occasionally because since we're low scoring, we usually play more innings than most other teams.
My bats don't average .220, more around .240. If we get it up to .250 that's when we're hot.
Free agent batters won't want anything to do with us. And our pitchers won't win any awards unless they post a ridiculous season.
Overall, I just decided I preferred trying to win games 3-2 over losing games 8-7.
