Is it possible to be successful with an all guard lineup in D3, D2, or D1?

At d3 you can have but not great teams with 4 guards and one rebounder....maybe at d2, not at d1 though.

At DII, Allen, North Alabama has been playing smallball with success. But if it's not press, don't bother playing smallball, you will get destroyed. And you need a lot more speed than the other teams... If you do not build a lot of speed, you will get hammered with press. You don't rebound but you make up for it with bh, pas, spd... and it gives you steals and assists. You need a solid center.. REB high, BLK high... ATH high.,. and a back-up.

One of the Puerto Rico teams at the D2 level in Allen was running four guards and one rebounder for a number of years.  They made the tournament pretty much every year, but I don't think they usually got very far once they were there.  So it depends on what you mean by successful, I guess.

If you count a SF at PF for small ball then yes you probably could, but it would probably be one of those 50+ reb SF's I think to be effective.
