In the old days of HBD you didn't receive comp picks if free agents were signed after the official free agency period. That's how I remember it but I was away for awhile.
I read that this has changed, but I want to make sure.
I signed my type A guy in the final cycles of free agency because I didn't want anyone to get him without compensating me.
I didn't want him. He's an old pitcher in decline.
I read elsewhere that you now receive compensation all the way up until the draft prospects are published.
Can someone verify this as true?
Thanks.
